the notebooks get major hardware redesigns every 4-5 years, so you're looking at 3-4 years seeing as we're one year into the retina cycle.

they might slim the bezels (and thus the whole device) when in a year or two they adopt IGZO (which is stated to have smaller bezels than current screen tech)
