I need the carrier-unlocked iPhone as I am not in the US but I'll be travelling there. Will it be available on the 16th?

Technically if you buy the phone full price it should be unlocked. Or get the Verizon model device only ad will be 100 % unlocked.

Just to clarify: if I buy the verizon model full price the 16th I will be able to use it in my home country? What I mean with this is: Will I be able to put a local carrier sim in it?(Argentina)

Yes

Sorry to insist, I keep finding information and need to check. I need the following frecuencies and bands to be able to use Internet as per my carrier:
UMTS/GSM/AWS/850/1900/1700/2100 for LTE, I also need LTE band 4 UMTS which supposedly it's the same as AWS; For 2G and 3G I need both the 850 and 1900 MHZ bands. I also need band 28 or APT WITH the 700 MHZ frequency included as well. Is the Verizon unlocked model capable of this, as I cannot wait for the Sim-Free phone?

I am confused; the one with Verizon says CDMA between brackets, and here I need GSM. Although all the bands are there on the Verizon one, the fact that it says CDMA utterly confuses me. Is it compatible with GSM anyway? And will I be able to buy it without a Verizon account? I am looking at the A1660 which is the one on Verizon as the A1778 is only AT&T and T-Mobile and they supposedly don't work.
