I was wondering if anyone knows when the embargo for iPhone 4 reviews will be lifted. I'm hoping to see some reviews by tomorrow night if we're lucky.
Isn't is normally 3 days prior to launch?

Wed night? I thought night before launch is typical...

Just checked and the iPad reviews were 3 days prior to launch, 3GS was 2 days.

Hope we get to see something tomorrow....guess we'll find out soon enough...

What are you expecting different in a review than what's in the the "previews/hands on" that everyone has published already?

Is there anything else they could possibly go over?

We know the features and all the rest of the run down. What we're looking for are REVIEWS. I want to know about someone's experience using the phone on a day to day basis. Big name reviewers get the iPhone in advanced and have it for a week or so before they write up their review.

^^ yeah..there's a big difference between a quick hands-on and spending a week with it.
They will be able to report on call quality, noise cancellation...lots of other stuff too!

I wonder if it will actually be lifted tonight since deliveries begin tomorrow

It doesn't matter what that email says. This happens with every single Apple release. There are always tracking numbers, emails, confirmations with people at FedEx and UPS; and guess what? No one gets anything until release day.

Sorry to continue in an OT direction, but are you sure? I seem to remember people occasionally getting hyped preordered Apple products a day early in the past.

Except in this case the e-mail is FROM APPLE.

Wrong. Remember the UK iPad launch? pre-orders arrived a day early for some customers.
