When will the iPad 3 start shipping with Lightening?

I can't see Apple continuing to sell one, single product with the old dock for another 6 months - I'm guessing they'll have to do at least a minor iPad update soon to change this...

Probably never, the iPads, iPhone 4/4S, and last year's iPod Touch still have the 30 pin dock.

What about the iPod Shuffle? I don't think they've updated that this time, so surely will still use old style dock??

According to Apple's site, same 3.5 jack to USB.

There is no iPad 3.

The current iPad range will continue with the 30-pin connector until such time as they are replaced.

Why would they have to change it on the current model iPad? The next revision will have it.
