so far the iphone has been released in many many countries ranging from the US to countries such as Honduras and India and yet its still hasn't been released in any middle eastern countries!!!It will be released in Qatar, Egpyt and Jordan but what about the UAE, pls if anyone has information tell me!thnx

It really depends on the carriers in the country. I would expect UAE to get it, but when, is the question. The other thing you have to worry about is the US Export Regulations, I know that Apple itself is not selling the iPhone in Venezuela due to the politics there, but the carrier for it in neighboring countries is selling it, technically importing it illegally. Perhaps there is some sort of technology embargo on the UAE, but I doubt it with all the modern technology being dumpped in that nation at present. More likely it has to do with contract terms or some system in place to make it more difficult.
