When will the new VGA adaptor be available?

I have a new MBP and need to hook it up to a VGA projector for Powerpoint presentations.

Does anyone have any idea when the new VGA adaptor will be released, (and what store I can get it at first)?

No idea; if you need it ASAP, get the mini DisplayPort to DVI and then get a DVI to VGA adapter.

I read somewhere that that won't work, because the analog signalling isn't in the DVI.

Won't work.

The minidisplayport to DVI adapter is DVI-D not DVI-I.

A DVI to VGA adapter physically won't plug it since the analog portion of the cable is blocked. No pins can go in.

The Mini DisplayPort and VGA adapter is available in most Apple Stores. I picked up one along with my purchase of new MBP on Oct. 16.

yeah the displayport to vga adapter is available in the store. i ordered one with my mbp, cost me £16.
