When will we get a update to iPad air 2?

Currently am using a mini 3 which I love, but ever since getting a 6s+, I've used it less and less.

Ipad Pro is too big, i have a 13"rMBP 2015 and love it, so don't need something the same size.

So to me the iPad air 2 seems perfect, but I hate the idea of buying a tablet that came out in 2014, when its inevitable there will be a new one next year (hopefully).

When do you think they will update the iPad air? or should i just jump in and get the air 2 now?

Thoughts??
 
I wouldn't look for an Air refresh until at least Sept/Oct of next year. Sweet spot would be if they add Pencil support. Then I'll sell the Pro and size back down again. Love the Pro's screen but it's nowhere near portable like my Air.
 
looks like Apple is moving iPad products to a 2-year update cycle, so I figure the Air 3 will come out in September-November 2016.

so you think i should get a air 2 now?
 
I can get a gold refurbished 128gb for 499, black for 544..... only need 64 gb but that might be too good to pass up
