When will we see refurb 3GS?

Does anyone recall how long after the 3G introduction before we started seeing refurbished 3G iPhones in the AT&T web site (normal/premier/whatever) last year?

Am wondering how long how long of a wait it would be if I were to wait for a refurb 3GS...and if it'd be worth the wait. I need a phone now but love saving money too.

Thoughts?
