I recently had a iphone 4 stolen and want to keep tracking the phone to find out where the thugs are.. if i erase the phone will it not be able to track it anymore?

AS stated on the mobileMe web page, if youn remote wipe it, you won't be able to track it anymore.

Remote lock is a better option.

Though in reality all they have to do is remove the sim (or turn it off) and puff it is gone.

Then if restored they can just set it up as a new phone.

By the way. If your phone has been stolen, is it showing in mobileme, and if so, why havn't you told the police where it is?

I did tell the police where it is .. filed a report today but its like 60+ miles from me and I sure am not gonna go there alone and get robbed lol. The police claim then will call me on my old phone but I wonder if they will actually even go over there and get it.. alll they have to do is hide the phone if the police show up.. Plus the police officers who came by to make the report were not even aware of MobileMe and I had to sit down and explain it to them...
