When you sell an advertised jailbroken/unlocked phone, what exact state do you sell it in? In other words, when you complete the restore to the custom pwned 4.0 firmware, you get to the screen where it asks you if you want to set up your phone as new, or restore from a backup, and meanwhile your iPhone on its screen says it is activated.

Do you sell it like that? Or do you proceed to set it up as a new iPhone, and then go and install ultrasn0w?

Does it matter? I mean for it to actually be unlocked, ultrasn0w needs to be installed, but that's a trivial step. But if you proceed with setting up as a new iPhone, then won't the buyer miss the chance to restore from a backup (to get all their settings in) - he won't have (or shouldn't be expected to have) a custom pwned jailbreak or know how to do any of that, so he can't do a restore without losing it, correct?

if you set it up as a new phone, then the person who gets it will have to go to settings -> store and log out. they will have seen your itunes account name, which makes a brute force attack on your account a lot easier.

when it asks if you want to set it up as a new phone or restore from back up, do neither. just unplug it.
