How are you going to switch phones?

You would probably have to contact Apple to see about canceling the AppleCare on the old phone and buying AppleCare on the new phone.

In that case AppleCare+ goes with the phone. if the black phone you're getting has AppleCare+ you have it. If it doesn't you're out of luck.
