I'm on my 2nd replacement.

original the home button stopped working often. replacement had apps crash (stock ones, even with restore). this one is perfect so far but i've had two face dials, I think both times it was when I was juggling the phone on my shoulder doing something else (dealing with customer service for a company).

I see the red proximity sensor light up when I'm in pitch black but it seems dimmer than my original iPhone (last time I looked at the proximity sensor -- didnt have the first replacement long enough). Also, with the previous two iphones i could easily see the proximity rectangle in bright lights, this one its a lot more subtle. the paint might be a bit blacker.

Anyways, aside from what I think are juggling the phoen on my shoulder, proxmimity sensor has worked fine.

Anyways, cause of concern or just paranoia? And when you rest the phone on your shoulder, does this happen sometimes too?

Thanks.

Honestly, I would never rest my iPhone on my shoulder
The risk of dropping it is too great for me
And since I use my iPhone 4 naked, that is a risk I won't take

But I guess if you hold the phone up to your ear, you should never have this problem, right?
