Whenever I'm in windows, the little OSX boot thing in the bottom right won't let me boot into OSX?

I just ran a bunch of updates in Windows (which reminded me why I switched away from that lol) and all seemed well but now whenever I try to click that little thing in the bottom right to boot into OSX on restart, it won't let me. Says it can't detect a OSX partition (I'm paraphrasing). I freaked out thinking it just wiped my partition but when I restart and hold Option, I can manually go into OSX.

Any ideas? It's not world ending but it is still annoying.

If your iMac has a SSD and you have updated to APFS on it, bootcamp will not recognize it, and you have to reboot to the boot manager to select OS X.

Hopefully this will be resolved by Apple soon ....

Mine does the same thing. Hopefully an update is forthcoming. The Windows/Bootcamp drivers simply can’t recognize the new file system. Just hold the option key when booting and select your macOS SSD to boot from there.
