I don't think you'll feel Santa Rosa as a huge improvement. MBP's were just released so you'll be waiting a long time. I'd up the RAM on the macbook and then decide whether it's a good machine or not.

I'm holding off from buying a new MBP; not for Santa Rosa particullary (would be nice though) but I would like to see a GPU upgrade in there. So I decided to wait untill MWSF or somewhere around march / april at max...
