I dont know if its because it's running through rosetta or whatever, but Office:mac 2004 is slow as hell on my macbook 2.0ghz 2.0gbram. Opening up a powerpoint presentation takes Forever. Word is usable but not very fun.

Yes, it is because it's running through Rosetta... or whatever

Wouldn't you talk slowly if everything you said had to be translated into another language to another person in real-time, and then all of their responses had to be re-translated back to you?

Because that's pretty much what Rosetta is trying to do with Office, which is a huge conversation judging by the size of an Office installation.

Opening and saving is the worst, the rest of the time MS Office runs quite well under Rosetta. It's far from ideal though, and frequently when I've pushed applications like Excel they have quit on me.

Still, until next year, it's either that or NeoOffice...but that wont even open some of my Excel files.
