When's the next release of the AEBS?

Hey,

I checked the Buyer's Guide, but there's no mention (that I saw) of the AEBS? Does anyone know when the last model was released and if we're likely to see a new model this year?

One before that was in 2009... and the one before that was also in 2009... so who knows

Probably won't be a new one until 802.11ac gets finalized if I had to guess

On January 20, 2011, the Initial Technical Specification Draft 0.1[2] was confirmed by IEEE 802.11 TGac.[3] Standard finalization is anticipated in late 2012, with final 802.11 Working Group approval in late 2013.[1] According to a study, devices with the 802.11ac specification are expected to become common by 2015 with an estimated one billion spread around the world.

But maybe not, so I have no idea.

Thanks for the info, considering Apple's released an AEBS with 11n before it was finalised, it's possible they'll do the same with 11ac.

Nobody knows. It's not on a regular release cycle, so it's not in the Buyer's Guide.

Oh well, it's no big deal. I'll wait a few months and pickup a fifth, I reckon.
