I hope to purchase a new IMac either tomorrow or Wednesday, but I have several questions:
1) Are there any advantages to buying a stock IMac online at Apple instead of at an Apple store- I live about 40 miles from the store, and Saturday although I called, by the time I arrived the 24" IMacs were gone. I could live 3-4 more days until the actual computer arrives, but I would want to know it IS ordered and on its way.
2) Is IWorks worth the money?
3) If you aren't planning to do anything fancy with it, is the new .Mac worth a try?
4) I have a 3 year old D-Link wireless router (the 50 buck variety). I will have 2 (maybe three, if I use my current computer) Windows XP machines that will need to hook up as well as the new IMac. Any problems that anyone knows of with older routers and IMac?
