Like the tile says, I'm still looking forward to buying my 2nd HomePod, but unfortunately I haven't seen any Black Friday deals whatsoever... so disappointing :(

Aside from Best Buy having them for $199, there are none. Most Black Friday ads have already been posted.

Not sure if the $199 deal is coming back. Thought someone said it would be back, but who knows.

Sorry, my bad, I should have mentioned that I'm from the UK, so no Best Buy here. None of the retailers here have any deals on the HomePod, what a f**king joke!!! I wish I lived in the US

It's fascinating to me that the two Apple products that sell the least, HomePods and Apple TV 4K, are rarely on sale. Even the Apple Watch benefited from lower prices.

Apple 32 GB TV 4k at Best Buy for $169, a whopping $10 off. Big deal.

At $199 is the HomePod a solid purchase?

Do y'all think they'll release a new model soon?

If you are content with its limits, it’s an excellent purchase. They sound great, play music fairly reliably, are great Airplay2 targets, decent Homekit hub, and the best speakerphone I’ve ever used.

I do not think they will release a new model. I would think the most likely is they release a less expensive model. They really need something for $100 or less for kids bedrooms, etc.

If using for Music yes, if also using for smarthome capabilities, stay away. The lastest iOS Homepod update has made the smarthome capabilities get worse.

Thanks for the response.

Thinking of going for it then - no smarthome use here.

There’s a £40 gift card from Apple if you buy a HomePod direct from them...

Even at the $199 BF prices, I saw a bunch of HomePods sitting at 3 Best Buys I visited over the weekend. If this is any indication of how well HomePods are selling, I wouldn't be surprised that a $150 price point or better isn't too far off in the future.

Tell me about it. We get deals like $100 off the Apple Watch Series 5, that was only released a few months ago, yet still no HomePod discounts at all, ffs it's almost 2 years old product.
Deals are usually affected by profit margins, not product age. Watches and phones have decent margins, whereas Apple TV and HomePod does not. Around the HomePod release, rumor was it was being sold at close to cost, just so people would sign up for Apple Music. Not sure if that's the case anymore.
