lies! not totally, but there are tons of icons missing from that folder.

i want safari itunes googleearth mail preview iphoto photobooth finder addressbook alarm clock dashboard and settings. anyone have theese?
 
If there are specific icons you're looking for, right-click the application and do "Show Package Contents" Open Contents folder, then open Resources folder. For Safari (3.1.2) there should be 208 items. Easiest thing to do would be to go to list view then sort by kind. You should see "Apple Icon Image" at the top. The Safari icon is the file "compass.icns" which you can open in Preview.

You can find the other icons similarly.
