My old Pro was soaked. Luckily the hard drive was still alive. I recently bought an external hard drive enclosure, and used it to connect the old hard drive to my new Air. How can I recover my old iPhoto files in this way? The solutions I found on Google didn't work for this case, as they were all about retrieving pictures on the same Mac.

FYI, my old Pro was of OSX 10.7.5 and iPhoto 9.4.3, and my new Air is of OSX 10.9 and iPhoto 9.5.

Thanks a lot!

If you already have an iPhoto Library on the Air, rename it (see in Pictures folder).

Now go to your Pictures folder on the external disc, and copy your iPhoto Library to your Pictures folder on the new computer.

To open the "old" library, you can :

- double click on it, or

- launch iPhoto with Alt key depressed, and choose the "old" Library.

The Library will be updated for iPhoto 9.5.

Thank you so much! It worked perfectly :)
