hey guys I need help.. I was looking for an app (wallsaver) earlier today I took a look at my app stack and couldn't see it. I thought maybe it wasn't in the application folder so I did a search and it says this app is in the application folder!?

So I opened the application folder and looked for it but its not there!? what should I do?

There is only ONE Applications folder.
With Finder > User account you access it through an Alias on the Sidebar.

Finder Prefs > Sidebar > tick Applications.

If you want a folder just for your own apps feel free to make one in your user account but please don't call it Applications.

Well some apps create an Applications folder within the Users folder themselves even if it does not already exist so kind of hard to follow that advice. Crossover is one example of a program that does establish that folder.

So to the OP, be sure to check if there is an Applications folder within your Users folder as one may have been established. If you find the program in Spotlight and click it to select it, look at the bottom of the screen to see the path to the file which will help you find it more simply too.

Some installers will make the user Applications folder for you, to say that there is only ONE Applications folder is just plain false.

the Finder search clearly says that Wallsaver is in the Applications folder. try right clicking on Wallsaver in the search and clicking "Open Enclosing Folder". this will show you where its hiding.
