Good question, the 10.1 Note is an amazing tablet, except the screen resolution with its 1280x800.
It's about time, Samsung coming up with at least 1920x1200 tables.

As for the Note series, I think I read somewhere that the lower resolution is because of the S pen integration. Something with the digitizer... I could be wrong though. I wish I could find the article I was reading.

Well, technically the Nexus 10 is a Samsung tablet.

Exactly my point. Why would Samsung release a vastly inferior product for the same price? 1gb of RAM and 149ppi in 2013 and for $399 at that? Aside from the Atom chip everything about the Tab 3 10.1 screams 2011.

To be fair most people don't buy nexus products in great numbers because in the past they have not been well advertised and have had poor availability (only from google play and often old out). Samsung have good advertising and brand power. Your average person doesn't know about specs or pure android. When they go into best buy, they will see the samsung section and after talking to a sales person will end up buying a Samsung device with lower specs.

Nexus 10 has the highest rez of any tablet ever. That I'd Samsung made.

Actually, the Nexus 10 has the highest resolution, but no longer has the highest pixel density.

The new Nexus 7 takes that crown at 323 ppi. I have one and I do enjoy the new display.

Chances are Sammy makes more money off their under speced garbage tablets than the Nexus 10.

They sell a lot of those crappy Galaxy Tabs and that chances are, nothing will change until their margins are squeezed.

Please learn to read, I know n7 has the highest pixel density, I didn't say that. I said resolution, replying to the post.

I agree, except for a few small flaws, that is one impressive piece of tech, first Windows 8 computer of any type I'm a bit excited about. The actually price may likely temper my enthusiasm at some point. ;)

great things come at a great price!
thank god i had been saving money, this is the one, i'm definitely gonna go for this.

Yes. Read my post again where I said that the Nexus 10 has the highest resolution... not the 7 (making your earlier statement incorrect, hence my correction).

You are right about one thing, though... one of us does need to learn how to read properly.

I said N10 had the highest res on a tablet. That was right.

For some reason you corrected me by saying the N7 has the highest Pixel density, which I didn't say the N10 did, so WTF?

Then I said, no I said N10 has the highest rez, and yes you are correct N7 has highest ppi.

So I did not need any correction.
