I have been playing with all the different voices on lion that you can get for the text to speech stuff. Sadly, I'd like that fairly large chunk of hard drive back now (each voice is about 500MB). Anyone know where the voices are stored or just how to delete them without having to use the finder?

The voices are stored in System > Library > Speech > Voices. You'll see lots, but most of them are tiny files. Of the pre-installed ones, only Alex takes up serious space, at just over 400MB.

Unfortunately, any additional ones you download will remain. Lion does not automatically remove them when deselected in the Customize... menu. So yes, using the finder to delete is your best option, unless someone has a better way.
