Where are the 1000's of OSX apps?

The Mac App Store implies there are lots and lots and lots of "apps" for Apple computers. I know there are gazillions for the iPhone and iPad, so where are all these apps for OS X?

Son of a gun...there's an app store app! I had to call my buddy, Eddy Snowden, to find out! Fortunately, the Skype phone call to Russia was free.

Click the "Apple" icon in the menu in the top of the screen, and choose App Store ....
