Where are the Amazon rebates?

What do you think of Amazon not offering a rebate on the C2D MBPs?

As soon as it was available (i.e., not pre-order), every Mac that Amazon has sold before had a rebate attached including the previous revision for the MBP. I did notice that the rebate went down (from $150 to $100) on the previous MBP rev. Maybe Amazon feels it can sell these Apples even without a rebate.
 
The reason I'm asking is because I have about $100 in Amazon gift certificates, but now that Amazon doesn't offer a rebate, I can get a better deal from somewhere else.
