Am i stupid or is "In the Beginning" with Tony Sheridan the only selections of the Beatles on iTunes. I have searched and done a power search and cannot find anything!

They aren't on iTunes. There was a dispute some time ago with the Beatles' record company, Apple and Apple Inc. So they haven't allowed their content to be purchased via iTunes.

Ridiculous really.

No, you're not being stupid – they're not on there (or any other legal download site, for that matter), due in no small part to a longstanding dispute between Apple (our favourite computer company) and Apple (the Beatles' record label). You can read more about it here.

I guess it just goes back to that old saying: you can't mix your Apples and oran... wait a minute.

I nominate this for post of the day.

I wish the Apples could settle their dispute, merge, and become one big apple. Get it, big apple? Never mind.

I thought Micheal Jackson owned the rights to The Beatles recordings.

Sure Apple may hate Apple, but if they don't onw the rights how can thier dispute stop iTunes from selling Beatles tracks?

He owns the rights to the songs, Apple Corps. still owns the rights to the recordings of the songs.
