When the iPhone 5 was announced I expected a major flood of apps updated for the taller screen. The first few days did see a bunch of updates. But its since slowed down to a trickle.

I'm starting to get the impression that many companies simply won't bother updating to the iPhone 5. Could that be true?

I updated my app immediately when it came out. There were some issues due to iOS6 that were unexpected as they weren't in the beta. But support for the taller screen was actually quite easy. I'm surprised few have bothered.

Maybe Apple's approach of trying to keep it a secret and not letting developers know at WWDC hasn't worked. For all the secrecy, every detail of the phone was leaked before release... except how to develop apps for it. And even today, information regarding how to support the iPhone 5 was discovered, not clearly documented.
