Hey all,

while most of the hardware stuff Apple releases, is great (impressed by Apple Silicon for example), I miss innovation from them on the software side. New emojis here (who needs so many of them...?), some additional features there...

What about the next major step of user interaction with our devices? We all know Siri is lackluster at the moment. Imagine you could tell your Macbook what it should do (across ALL OS functions and at least Apple software, possibly 3rd party software as well) and voila!
Personally, I'd really like that. Of course no one wants to talk to the Macbook all the time - it would disturb other people in the vicinity and let's not even start with privacy concerns. But if the situation permits it and/or the implementation is on-device and secure, why not, especially for more complex tasks where you would otherwise have to invoke multiple programs/steps?

I'm afraid Apple missed that train when Microsoft and others push forward with ChatGPT and similar technology.

What are your thoughts on that?
