Make sure when buying off eBay that it is factory unlocked, so you can run updates without breaking the unlock. This also costs a pretty penny.

thanks for the reply guys, i found an unlocked iphone 4 on amazon, it costs around 800 us dollars, so i decided to stick with my samsung for now
