I need the most current or close internet exploroer for os x.

I just need to download it for a work site. I'll never use it again probably.

I have searched all around nothing.

Thanks in advance?

Internet Explorer 5 is the latest version for Mac... Microsoft stopped making it when the first Safari was released. Sorry bud. Whats wrong with safari or firefox?

well dude, u can either hack into the download if ur experienced, or download a program called DARWINE, and open it up with that. DARWINE is exactly like WINE for linux except its for mac. what it does is it opens windows files. not all though.

If the site relies on an ActiveX control, then you can only use it running IE on Windows. Emulation or using a Windows machine is the only way.

For non-technical people, ies4os is the easiest - it used to be standalone now comes with WineBottler (http://winebottler.kronenberg.org/)

After installing, run WineBottler, select "Install predefined prefixes" and select the version of IE you want (IE 6, 7 or 8)

I think ActiveX control should work with WINE (even though WINE Is Not an Emulator)
