I like the Macally TriHub. You can get it in 4 or 7 port setups, and I like the looks of it.

Finding an unpowered hub isn't a problem. A lot of them that have AC adapters can even be used unpowered. The problem is the devices. Some of them (often external HDs) require more power than the USB port will provide.

I would probably contact griffin and ask them (since that is where the picture is from). It looks like it just extends the ports of the older macbook pro with audio/firewire/usb

Ha! You just saved me a trip to the store. I have been having problems with the print server in my Brother Laser printer so I was just going to plug the USB into my airport extreme, but I've already got a HD plugged in there for Time Machine backups. I was getting ready to head out to pick up a USB hub when I saw your post. I have an old Apple KB that suffered a spill and now half the keys don't work. I figured I'd try to see if it would work as a USB hub with the extreme, and it works great. Not the prettiest or smallest hub, but it will hold until I can get one cheap.

Well thats a bummer, at least i know name of it, maybe i'd be lucky to find it on ebay. Thanks once again!

I'm considering to pick up the Lacie hub, im not sure if its good one (it looks like it falls everytime my desk moves), i also like the targus USB hub!
