I have a mac.com account (ie: goobypls@mac.com) but I don't know where I can log in to it in order to check its Inbox or even change the password. The only place I know I can access this account is through iChat.

I tried mac.com but that doesn't exist anymore.
I tried me.com but it won't take the e-mail. Even if I put the right password in.

What's the solution to this?

EDIT: Just tried iCloud as suggested but that too didn't accept the mac.com e-mail address, even with the correct password.

Were you using a paid MobileMe mac.com email address? I migrated from MobileMe to iCloud and I am able to use my xxxxx@mac.com email address to login to iCloud.com and change settings etc.

When I got my @mac.com e-mail I received it along with my PowerBook G4, so this was a while ago when mac.com still existed (now replaced by MobileMe). I think I had paid for a year of it. Could that be the reason why I can't use it anymore? If it is, then I don't understand why I can still use it for iChat.

Have you tried resetting the password?
That's actually what I'm trying to do but I haven't found the option to. If anything I'd like to suspend the account so that no one can use it. I did just recently get a free @me.com e-mail with my iTouch.

@me.com e-mail can be used on iChat, right?

Yes. I would say that is the problem. I thought you had it from MobileMe.

So, is there no way I can access my mac.com account except through iChat?

If you did not have @mac.com with MobileMe that was migrated to iCloud, then no you don't really even have an account to access. At this point it is not an account it is just your ichat user name.
