Doesn't look like this forum supports it, but is there anywhere on the web where people trade apple merchandise. Doesn't have to be only apple products, but since i am looking for a mac mini and trying to trade a powerbook, something with a lot of mac items would be best.

...eBay?
...Craigslist?

And this forum does support it, you need a certain post count, otherwise every scam artist would be in here selling dodgy MBPs for cheap prices...

not to hijack this thread or anything, but isn't there also a 6 month rule in conjunction to the 250 posts? For instance (tell me what I'm doing/did wrong) I have over 2000 posts and I cannot access the marketplace.

You have over 2000 posts in less than 6 months? Wow, you need to get away from your computer now and then.
