I know someone can get me this. but I have always wondered where the flash drive is on the screen on the computer. I have had this computer for 2 years and I don't know where to find it on the computer. but now I need to convert something from Windows to Mac and I don't think it is showing up. I know in Windows you have different drives like F and others you can used but I don't where on the Mac. The same way about how much room you have used on the Mac I have no idea on that either. if someone could try and explain this would be nice. Also what is a easy way of opening then DVD drive too.

USB (along with other external drives) will have an icon appear - usually somewhere on the upper right of the desktop. You can also see them in Finder.

They'll appear on the desktop, and on the left pane of the finder window.

Kind of surprising you never noticed after owning a Mac for 2 years.

I never had to really know. but I had always wondered about the CD drive. but know I want to convert the Quicken 2015 to Mac Quicken 2015 and I scared of doing that too. I just hope Intuit does a better job than they have in the passed with Mac. but know I really need to know this. I have the files on a flash and was going convert them on Windows now I think I should do on the Mac. But it is too late for today.
Thank you for helping me. I will have to look and see if I can find it on the pane of the Finder pane
