Hi all, I hope you can help me, I am lost. I have Apple TV (the version prior to the 4K version), iPad/iPhone on latest iOS, and MacBook Pro on Catalina. On everything but the Apple TV, in the TV app I have a Home Movies section which I have always had my own video/movies in. Now, I can't find that section anywhere on the Apple TV! I tried going to the TV app, iTunes app, I even tried the Computer App but that references turning on Home Sharing on iTunes to stream, but there is no iTunes any more and I am (1) not sure that's what I should be doing (2) can't find home sharing under Catalnia on my MacBook Pro!

Where is the Home Movies section? I know I can just use Air Play to play the movies, but I am very much hoping the movies are there on my Apple TV somewhere so I don't have to drag my iPad or phone to the TV every time we want to view one of them.

Thanks for your help!

On my AppleTV (gen 4), Home Movies are a tab under Movies... open the "Computers" applet... then pick Movies... on the screen, there are three options ("tabs") across the top of the screen: Movies, TV Shows and Home Videos. Hopefully, that helps.

EDIT: Just checked a gen 3 AppleTV and Home Videos shows up under Movies in the Computers applet, as well. Instead of being tabs across the top of the screen, they are listed as three options under Movies.

@dwfaust, thanks so much, that gave me the clue to find it. I had to go into System Prefs/Sharing on my MacBook Pro and turn on Media Sharing - a new place for it since there is no more iTunes app. All works great now, thanks!
