When I started my news broadcast assignment, i started with 76 gb left in my hd, now that im done I have only 54 gb, the movie was 3.5 gb when i finished it, and im obviously not deleting it from my cpu... I have it saved it iMovie, also i made a dvd menu so its in iDVD as well, also i still have all the raw footage left, and i checked the size of all my footage in the folder i made, so its the movie which is a quictime file and the raw footage is only 6gb... so did is there a 3.5gb copy in imovie, and a 3.5gb copy in iDVD as well? should i save the movie on my desktop and delete it from iMovie to clear up space? or where did all the extra memory go?

Use a program like WhatSize, OmniDiskSweeper, or Disk Inventory X to find those large files.
