With themes we usually modified the SpringBoard.strings file to remove things like "slide to unlock", "slide to power down", "slide to answer" text from appearing when changing out the stock slider graphics. We do this because it looks ridiculous to have that often misaligned text floating out there above our spiffy new slider.
With iOS4, the folder that SpringBoard.strings is placed in is called (if you speak English) English.lproj. That folder used to be called en.lproj. While WinterBoard still maps to the old en.lproj folder and it works, you are no longer able to eliminate the text that appears if your alarm clock is sounding (slide to stop alarm), even if you have the correct key: alarm lock label and its corresponding blank string in the file.
Does anyone know how to stop this text string from showing? I'm guessing it's just another one of those limitations that WinterBoard has yet to resolve with iOS 4. And no, you can't name your folder English.lproj because then all the other text strings appear again.
