I ordered a 2011 refurbished MacBook pro and it says it ships for lewisberry pa.. Did anyone's ship from this location as well? Has anyone had any problems from a a computer shipped from this location?

Also is there a way to tell what was wrong with my refurbished MacBook or if it was new and just not sold.

A new MBP likely ships from a different location than a refurb. My new MBPr shipped from Shanghai, which makes sense since the factories are in China. The refurbs likely get sent to regional repair depots to receive any necessary work and check ups before being repackaged and sold at the discounted rate. I don't know that for sure, but I do know that new Macs are not made in the USA.

Apple refurbs are fantastic. They replace everything that might be worn down (battery, case, display) and sell it for a discount.

my rmbp came from shanghai as well, but thats because we ordered when it came out
