On gmail through Safari, I can attach a photo and send to my recipient. The photo never goes to my camera roll.

Does it save somewhere else? Reason I am asking is because I don't want it to fill up my "other" space of storage in the iphone.

if you send an email through Safari and add an attachment then the attachment is not saved to your phone again. It is saved in your "Sent" inbox on the gmail server.
