HI!
The nearest Mac store is 40 min. away. My friend has been helping us over the phone and he recommended looking for local forums to see if there are Mac groups locally. I googled with no luck. Any tips?

While most are not as active as 10 years ago, Mac Users Groups still exist.

The heyday of the MUG (like the BBS) is long gone… but some do still survive. Although these days Macs are not their main concern.

As they say, there are MUGs around. Gird your loins before attending if my experience is anything to go by... oy. Take the nerdiest LAN Party and nerd it up by a factor of 10,000.

Perhaps it's better to hunt for groups where what you do with the Mac is the foremost subject, not whether you use a Mac.

A somewhat local one in the south Atlanta area, has rather high dues to be involved. :(

Note- The Apple impulse one in peachtree city is no longer active. They e-mailed me back about a month ago on it.

Well that sucks.
The one I looked at so far charges $40 and isn't really near me. I'll keep looking. Great advice y'all
