At school I'm taking an infotech course and we're learning about Java and using a program called XCode. I asked my teacher if XCode came with macs and he said yes.

I've looked on my computer (intel MacBook) and I can't find it, i've also looked online and I found something on apple.com that kind of impies that it comes with OSX Tiger.

Where do i get/How do i find XCode?

It should be on your restore disks otherwise I think that you can download it from apple, but I'm not totally sure about that.

i went to the Re-Install disk and was looking in the bundle software restore because of what it said in the user manual and then i noticed that it was in a separate folder on the restore disk:p

downloading XCode takes about 2.7 GBs of space
so i guess thats why it isnt pre-installed, seems kind of pointless to take up so much space on something most people will never use, and many people would just not delete because they dont' know what it is:p

Thanks

get the newer version off the developer sight (download all night its about a GB).sweet

could you post a link because i was looking on the developer site and couldn't find any sort of download link, it's probably in the most obvious spot to and i just don't notice it because i'm pathetic:p It took me long enough to find the link so that i can post a new Thread in the Forum:(

thanx :) i can't start downloading yet though because i'm at school :p
i guess i'll start it downloading when i get home or before i go to bed.
