Where do I go now? (MBP whine) (Exec Relations Fax?)

After ten days of perfection, my 15.4/2.0 MBP has developed the CPU whine under light loads (annoying, persisten whine using Safari, disappears with Photo Booth).

I took it to an Apple Store this afternoon (Southlake, 30 minutes each way from my home), where the 'geniuses' listened to it in-store, couldn't hear anything and told me it was within spec. Thinking maybe the problem had solved itself I went outside to my truck (closed, in a parking garage, relatively quiet) and could hear it just as much as I had at home.

Went back in, asked about an exchange, got pushed back to the Genius Bar where they had a retail person come over and that I'd have to pay the 10% restocking fee to make an exchange. I just paid $2000 for this thing, I'm not bloody well going to pay another $200 to pray that I get one that doesn't make noise this time.

Should I contact Executive Relations? If anyone has gone that route, could you PM the fax number to me?

I'd like to send them a letter about my experience and desires, just to see if I can get some help. This is a well-documented problem, Geniuses and retail people shouldn't be shocked at its existence.
