This may seem like a simple question, but where or what application is meant to store home videos? Do they just go in the Movies folder or is iPhoto meant to archive video. I noticed they are pushing iMovie to archive DV footage but where are you supposed to put the final product?

Your input is appreciated.

You can use iMovie to cut your videos and iDVD to burn them to disc. You can save the project files and their source video where ever you want. You'll get better performance if you have your video footage residing on an external drive.

I understand this,

You can use iMovie to cut your videos and iDVD to burn them to disc. You can save the project files and their source video where ever you want. You'll get better performance if you have your video footage residing on an external drive.

I should have noted that wherever the files live, I'd like to access them from Front Row/Apple TV.

It almost seems as if iTunes would be the app to use but I do not want to mix my content in with commercial content.

iPhoto would be a great application to store home movies because of the cataloging options. The problem is videos don't play in Front Row and an obvious lack of playback features within iPhoto.
