Where do IPA's to update apps go?

Connection very slow, problems updating big apps such as Tomtom. Have downloaded from another computer, 'update IPA file W. Europe 1.4'.Where do I put this to update my origional Tomtom app. Help, I have a big journey starting in an hour and since ipod update have no Tomtom.

Apps are stored in a Mobile Applications folder inside the iTunes folder, which is probably in your Music folder. If you just put it there iTunes won't see it unless you then manually add it to iTunes using "Add to Library" in the File menu.
