Where do XQuartz applications install?

I recently installed Steam for Windows with WineBottler and after it's installation, it opens with XQuartz. In what directory did it install? Because when I close Steam I have to reinstall it to be able to open it up again. I would like to know where it installed so I could place an Alias in my Applications folder. Any ideas?

When I installed XQuartz from http://xquartz.macosforge.org/landing/ it was installed in /Applications/Utilities.

I meant the applications that open with XQuartz.

XQuartz with other programs

I have also used xquartz to run windows based software (gwyddin), for image analysis. But because I install the program with the older X11 tool, since the update to xquartz the gwyddin program does not respond (at all).
Can anyone explain why xquartz won't link up with previous software??
