How can you put Apple online store, ebay and craigslists in the same category? Split it up please!

The store happens to be conveniently located about 4 miles away from work and home. I shop more online but I purchase more at the store. That way I get to see and touch stuff and talk with some fellow AppleHeads. :apple:

For buying something that requires customization, I use the Apple Store.

For getting a part / peripheral that just comes as is, I shop around till I find it cheapest with the quickest delivery time. I'm a next day delivery whore.

I like going to the store, makes me feel somewhat better when I spend 2K+ (because you can't walk in and spend less then that) and take it home then... lol

I buy them in a apple premium reseller in Antwerp.. It's nice to go to the shop and then really touch one before eventually buying your product you desire. And when the staff is polite you have a good feeling :p + you mostly, if your product is in stock, can take it right away with you, and go unpacking it directly.

I get mine at the apple store, seeing as in the bay area there are 3 in san francisco, 1 in emeryville and 1 in walnut creek. Hmm 5 apple stores within a 25 mile radius. I'd be stupid not to get my mac from an apple store. hehe. If i'm super duper lazy, i'll just get one at state but they usually get it there is there is some really good discount.

hehe

My MBP (and Leopard DVD) were purchased from Amazon. In the future, I'll probably buy refurb from Apple.

With the closure of the CompUSA, the only choice here is Best Buy. They don't really have stuff in stock, but say they will order for you. I find it much better to order online with Apple than to go to our local Best Buy and listen to the used-car salespeople there. No thanks, thank you.

Cheers

The past few years...

I've shopped exclusively at Apple Stores. I did wander off to eBay & CraigsList for a few years, but definitely wanted the reliability of Apple Stores for my most recent purchases. Though, CraigsList was an awesome alternative; saving hundreds of dollars for a one year old G5 with 20" cinema display.

Every Apple product that I have was bought from the Apple Store. I just think that it is a better experience overall from a consumer point of view.

I have bought all of my Apple products directly from Apple, either online or from one of my local stores. I am very close to the Christiana, DE store, so if I want a stock machine I can get it with an education discount and no tax :) I do know many who have used eBay and Craigslist, however, which has saved them a good bit of money...I guess I just prefer the security and reliability of buying directly from Apple.

Usually the Apple Store at Yorkdale but I'm getting my MacBook of the Apple Online store so I can use my student discount.
