Up until the other night, it was safe in the box. Then i thought it might work in Aperture to go between pictures - silly me. But now it's out of the box.

I'm going to lose it - I can tell. Anyone have a great spot for it?!?!

MBP here...mine stays in my laptop bag.

i have only ever used it three times....i just do too much work and not enough play on this thing, i guess!

Yes - the Apple Remote. And since this is in the laptop forum - odds are I have a laptop (17" MBP). :D

I'm afraid of the tossing it in the drawer thing - and honestly, i'm not sure i'll even get to do "fun" myself to USE it. But i'd like to have it handy if i do! LOL!!

OK, back to the iMac - is there a magnet on the remote for the iMac? Or is there one on the bottom of it? I just tried to stick mine on something i have sitting on my desk and it didn't stick. But if i could put a magnet on it.....

I keep mine on my desk beside my stereo remote... but i'm organized. I like things neat and tidy. :D

I usually leave it on my bedside table, since I mainly use it to control FrontRow when watching movies/shows whilst lying on my bed.

 Oops. I didn't notice that. On the main page, this post was simply listed under "Mac Hardware."

Well, you can always glue a long piece of string to the remote and glue the other end to the MacBook/MacBook Pro. :p

And on a side note, I keep mine on my night stand as I use Front Row and iTunes from bed. I really love the fact that you can put the Mac to sleep with that remote.... And, yes, I 've lost the remote for days at a time when it fell somewhere or got mixed up with my sheets.

I conveniently stow my remote in any of about 25 different locations about my home and office. Whenever I want to use it, I simply begin a quick search of every single location, which only takes 20 minutes or so, after which, I will realize that it is between the couch cushions.

I'm very proud of this reliable and convenient system.

ROFL - love this system!!!!!!!!! Probably will work the best for me too :D

As I have a 17 month old daughter who enjoys things that are small and mouth-sized, the remote stays in my bag. I did program my stereo remote though, so I have a handy back-up.

There should be slot in the macbook/pro I think so that it fits in like and can be taken out by pressing it in an it pops out

i think they should change the design of the remote for the laptops and make it fit in that expansion bay, if you need its their, if not you can take it out and make your 'book 3 oz. less heavy. I think hp does this/has a slot for it to slide in

Yaraher was onto something!! You CAN stick it on your macbook! Its not perfect, but seems to work well. Just attach it to the top corners of the screen, where the magnets for closing are. It wants to sort of pivot down and block the screen, but if you put it on horizontally, it seems to hold position just fine, even through screen adjustments and mild moving around. Either side works, as long as it is horizontally positioned.

peace,
sam

PS. Sorry for the horrible image quality. :)
