Is it elevated above your MacBook or do you have it off to the left, if you're right-handed? . . . or do you purchase an external keyboard and trackpad and then have the MacBook set up to the left?

I got the Samsung Odyssey OLED S32DG80 31.5" 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) 240Hz Smart Gaming Monitor recently for $1,000. The display looked good in the store and the salesperson said it would work with a Mac. What do you think of this Samsung monitor compared to the Apple Studio Display, besides the large price difference?

Work issued Macs…2023 M2 MBP, 2015 MBP. Both in permanent clamshell mode. The 2015 is no longer used as my primary work Mac, but the company did not ask for it back.

17" PowerBook G4 sits on top of my desk…

As does my primary monitors. TV is mounted to the wall.

And yes, those are two dining room tables side by side. I chose that specific style for legroom and because they were bigger and cheaper than desks.

The two 30" Cinema Displays are shared with the 2023 MBP via KBM switch and specialized cables.

I have large external monitors behind and slightly above the Macbook both at home and work. I use the MacBook keyboard and trackpad. I tend to put apps with main documents on the external screen and put email, slack, etc. on the MacBook screen. I do a lot of work integrating information and don’t spend all of my time focused on one document/file.
