I have looked all over the net. Everyone keeps saying User/Library/Itunes or User/Library/Application Support or other variation. I have unhid all files and i still cant find the location. HELP?!?!

~/Library/Itunes/Software Updates

It is not a hidden folder. If it doesn't exist then it hasn't downloaded the ipsw yet.

If all you need is the standard ipsw, you can also google for it. I haven't d/l an ipsw through itunes in ages. Pick a page where you get the d/l from Apple's servers.

If it's wrong, why didn't you give the correct location?

He made a little mistake and forgot to add the user name in the path.

He put:
~/Library/Itunes/Software Updates

You can use
~/Library/Itunes/Software Updates
or
/Library/Itunes/Software Updates

The "~" refers to "inside your user directory"
The other is strictly that path (the library folder in the root of the drive)
