On my old mac (MBP running 10.6), whenever I right clicked an image on the web and set it as the desktop background it would save the image in my ~/pictures folder. Lion (new MBA) doesn't seem to do this? Where on the computer does it save the images?

Thank you!

If your using Safari, then it would be "~/Library/Safari/Safari Desktop Picture.xxx" (Where xxx is the file extension)

It only saves one image. Every time you change it, the old one gets over-written.

"Use Image as Desktop Picture" worked the same way in 10.6, it didn't save to your Pictures folder unless you told it to.

Ah, ok thank you. You are correct.
I was using firefox on the older machine. Firefox does save a copy of the image to your pictures folder.
